Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PDM) – Distance

Programme Overview

The Postgraduate Diploma in Management, set at an NQF level 8, is a twelve month qualification that develops generic management competencies and prepares students for employment in middle management positions. A particularly exciting aspect of this qualification is the opportunity it offers professionals to reflect on their own practice and expand into new areas of management.

Organisational Strategy Planning and Management
Economics
Human Resource Management
Semester 2
Financial Management and Management Accounting
Marketing Management
Corporate Governance and Business Ethics

Each module will require an assignment and examination and learners are encouraged to attend the Semester Workshops which are designed to equip you with the necessary academic foundation and competencies to successfully complete the qualification. The qualification is supported by an e-learning platform.

Distance/E-Learning Mode:

Entry Requirements

  • Undergraduate 3 or 4 year degree or
  • Higher Certificate in Business Management (HCBM) with minimum 65% average and 4 years work experience
  • Basic Computer Skills

Application Procedure

Recognition Of Prior Learning
A small number of non-degreed applicants will be considered for a qualification based on their exceptional work experience and through the recognition of prior learning process (RPL). This will be discussed upon your application.

Important Considerations

  • Students will be required to purchase the prescribed textbooks (available through Regenesys).
  • For distance / e-learning, any printing and postage requirements will be for the students account.
  • Additional fees will be charged for selection tests, reassessments, module credits, RPL,  special examinations, graduation, defaults in payment of programme fees.
  • Assessment results will be withheld from students in financial arrears.

Finance Requirements

  • Flexible payment options are available allowing you to choose one of several modes of payment:
  • Upfront, Annually, per Semester, Modular or Monthly
  • A deposit is required, which will be deducted from your course fees
  • Promotional and group discounts are available

Upon acceptance a detailed invoice will be provided detailing the payment plan and banking details.

  • Certified copy of your highest qualification
  • Certified copy of Identity Document or Passport
  • Curriculum Vitae (max. 3 pages)
  • Motivation letter for your enrolment (max. 1 page)
