Mr Grant Pattison, CEO of Massmart, is a speaker in the Regenesys Leadership Conversations Seminar Series.
Since first joining the Massmart group in 1998, Grant Pattison has catapulted through the ranks to become its CEO at age of only 36.
Following four years with the Anglo American Group and two years consulting with The Monitor Group, he joined Massmart as executive assistant to the executive chairman in June 1998. He has since held various positions within the group, including managing director of Massdiscounters and Masstrade.
He was appointed to the executive committee in 2000, to the Board in December 2004, to the position of deputy chief executive officer in July 2005, and to his current position of CEO on 1 July 2007.
Grant holds a BSc degree with honours in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and enjoys swimming, water skiing and golf.
