
Mr Gaba Tabane, Managing Director of the Black Management Forum (BMF), is a speaker in the Regenesys Leadership Conversations Seminar Series.
Mr. Tabane’s speech will be covering the role of higher education in social transformation and the leadership challenges.
Mr Gaba Tabane started his career as a Junior Lecturer at the University of North West in 1996. Gaba then joined the North West Provincial Government in 1999 to 2000 as a Deputy Director of in the office of the Premier where he served as a Youth Commissioner for Economic Development. He joined Accenture in 2000 to 2003 (It was the Andersen Consulting) where he worked his way up to become a Strategy Manager on major projects servicing the public Sector. In 2003 he joined Invest North West as a Deputy CEO and was confirmed CEO in November 2004, a position he held until being appointed to be BMF MD in 2009.
Gaba completed his B.Com(ed) at the University of Bophuthatswana in 1994 then his B.Com (Honours) at the same University renamed University of North West in 1996. Gaba graduated his MBA with Honours at Clark-Atlanta University in the USA in 1999, where he majored in Finance and Marketing.
The Regenesys Leadership Conversations is a conversation between leaders in civil society and individuals seeking to learn about leadership. Seminars focus on catalysing conversation between top business and governmental leaders, interested members of the public and academic communities.
