Diversity Management

Programme Overview

The diversity management course will give you insights into the benefits, critical factors and process required to manage diversity successfully within the private sector context. Critical issues including gender, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, disability, age, sexual orientation, education and economic diversity are analysed. Ways of maximising organisational performance and developing a culture of mutual respect and trust by proactively managing diversity are explored. The benefit of diverse groups in organisations is that it often assists people to think more broadly as there is more than one view on an issue. Moreover, exchanging practices and stories about each other’s diverse backgrounds fosters a climate of greater understanding about each other and provides the ingredients for innovative thinking.
