Programme Overview
The Health System Management course explores critical issues of health system transformation. This includes the District Health System development and Hospital System transformation. The course reviews health policies as well as intergovernmental relationships and their implications for health services delivery.
Learning Outcomes
- Be familiar with health systems terminology, concepts and definitions
- Understand the complexity of a health system
- Have an understanding of key health policies
- Be able to describe principles of Primary Health Care (PHC) and District Health System (DHS) development
- Consider issues of human resource management and health system funding;
- Be familiar with key health system implementation challenge

- 2 days contact time including facilitation and group activities.
